Half an hour before you actually go to sleep, you should be totally relaxed. You should indulge in activity which relieves you off your stress and calms your mind. No Day Dreaming

You Gotta Manage It

Keep a schedule wherein you know what you have to do what you have done, what you should not do and fix upon a rough routine and stick to it what so ever. Do not make the weekend an exception, it will make things harder for you the next week. The things to do is crucial because then you would not keep awake because of something like “Oh no! I had to arrange for this meeting or date (or the likes) and it totally slipped out of my mind! What now??!”.

Is your bed and other things comfy enough? Is your pillow of the desired thickness? Is the room dark enough when you sleep? These are some more factors you need to look into with regards to how to get good sleep. If it is noisy, you cannot control it, when the source is outside your house. Leave your work related and professional tension at your doorstep, before you enter your home. Stress, tension and anxiety is a major sleep repellent. You brain is overworked, thinking about problems and you are not relaxed. Consequently your sleep goes for a toss. So keeping stress and anxiety away is one of the best ways to fall asleep.

 

No to Caffeine and Alcohol

The consumption of tea and coffee should be limited. In fact, avoid beverages having caffeine in the afternoon and evenings. Another thing which needs to be avoided if you want to sleep well is to keep alcohol at bay.
